Windows 7 is just an upgrade to Vista

One of my friends is a developer at MS and I had the chance to test the Windows 7. In my opinion Windows 7 looks more like an update to the Vista user experience than an overhaul of Vista.

I think that all this makes sense since MS decided for an shorter timeframe to develop and release Windows 7. Microsoft posted that Windows 7 should be here in 2009.

So let's see what changes it brings Windows 7. Mostly pretty minor updates to the Vista user interface: a simplified Start menu, ribbon menus in applications, redesigns to Windows Explorer and other control panel applications.

What is interesting the full integration of the Windows Life applications totally replacing the old MSN ones. Services like Live Mesh and Office Live Workspace are more tightly integrated in Windows 7 along with the addition of touch interfaces and application virtualization for the OS.

I'm not going to post any screen shots because I don't wanna get in trouble with MS, but the bottom line is this, don't expect Windows 7 to rock your socks. I've not seen anything to indicate that will be the case.

Yeam i'm sure that the new Windows 7 would be as bad as Vista which, btw, is killing my computer. XP was better. Dam Microsoft!
